hope you don't mind me commenting, but i saw your link on FB. i kinda think it's fun to hear what someone else from our crew has to think about texas!!
if you need help with any of these, lemme know. we have some friends in san antonio.
1. a couple of them rent, one bought... i can ask for realtor info and whatnot.
2. i'm not entirely sure what all of them do down there, but most of them work for rackspace (the company jeromy works for). one is a teacher. okay, so i might not be so helpful on this one...
3. the folks i know down there are pretty cool. they're younger, but friendly and outgoing. i'm sure, too, that ed will make work friends and they'll become friends... kinda like the SRA folk.
i gotta say it's hard working from home being in a new place. thankfully our neighbors are cool and we're beginning to get some good friends out of them. (I suppose all being new homeowners - read: poor - we all tend to stay home and hang out)
Hope your drive is going well, and ... welcome to Texas!
